Caleb
Caleb is a vibrant and versatile drum coach who brings a fresh, well-rounded approach to music education. Holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Music) from Queensland University of Technology, he combines strong academic training with years of practical experience across live performance, studio work, and music production.
He teaches a wide variety of contemporary styles, including pop, rock, funk, and R&B. His lessons focus on building strong technique, musical confidence, and a real connection to rhythm and feel. While drumming is at the heart of his teaching, Caleb’s broader musical background brings added depth to his coaching, helping students understand how drums fit into the bigger picture of a song or performance.
Caleb has contributed to a wide variety of musical settings, from school orchestras and chapel bands to church performances, studio recording sessions, and local gigs around Brisbane. As both a drummer and producer with QUT’s student-run label, Vermilion Records, he has collaborated with emerging artists across multiple genres and performed at key events like the QUT Music Showcase.
Influenced by legendary artists such as Michael Jackson, James Brown, Herbie Hancock, Bruno Mars, and Prince, Caleb brings a strong sense of rhythm, musicality, and joy to everything he does.
His mission as a coach is to make music exciting, accessible, and rewarding. Whether you are picking up sticks for the first time or building on years of playing, Caleb’s supportive and engaging teaching style helps students grow in confidence, skill, and love for music.
