Noah
Noah is a passionate and approachable piano coach who brings both energy and excellence to every lesson. With a Grade 8 in Piano from Trinity, achieved with High Distinction, and additional AMEB Grade 7 qualifications, Noah combines strong formal training with real world performance experience. His background reflects both dedication and a genuine love for music making.
Teaching up to intermediate level in contemporary, classical, and jazz piano, Noah enjoys working across a wide range of styles including Classical, Jazz and Blues, Contemporary and Modern, Pop and Rock, and Musical Theatre. Whether a student is just starting out or building on existing skills, Noah creates lessons that are structured, engaging, and tailored to individual goals.
Alongside piano technique, Noah integrates ear training, composition, songwriting and music production into his teaching. As a vocalist himself, he also understands how instrumental skills connect with singing and overall musicianship. His experience as a jazz pianist includes competing and winning in the Generations in Jazz Division 2 competition, an achievement that highlights both his talent and his dedication.
Noah performs regularly and has been involved in a variety of ensembles, including Churchie’s Big Band 1 and Viking Vocals 1. He is currently part of Churchie’s Musical Orchestra and the UQ Choir, performing across jazz, classical, and musical theatre genres. Notable performances include Generations in Jazz 2024 and 2025, where his Big Band achieved first place in 2025, the Suma Cum Laude competition in Vienna with choir, and the AHEP Choir 2024.
Influenced by jazz artists such as Jesus Molina and Count Basie, particularly in his comping style, Noah also has a deep appreciation for Beethoven in the classical repertoire. These influences shape a teaching approach that balances creativity, groove, expression, and strong foundational technique.
Noah’s mission as a coach is simple: to draw students further toward music. He believes piano lessons should build confidence, spark curiosity, and help students discover their own musical voice. With patience, encouragement, and a supportive environment, Noah aims to make music accessible and rewarding for every learner. His love for piano and performance shines through in every lesson, inspiring students to grow not only as pianists, but as confident musicians.
