He also incorporates kinaesthetic awareness to help students connect more deeply with their instrument. Alongside voice, Danny has beginner-level experience in piano and guitar.
As a live performer, Danny is a regular presence on stage with a quintet performing jazz and modern jazz and a soul band performing soul, R&B & jazz. His performance highlights include the Clarence Jazz Festival, Taste of Summer Festival, and work with the Southern Gospel Choir. His musical influences include Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, Kirk Franklin, Lalah Hathaway, Ella Fitzgerald, Samara Joy, and Gregory Porter, reflecting his love for neo-soul, soul jazz, classic soul, and modern R&B.
Danny’s teaching philosophy is rooted in vocal health, longevity, and creativity. He is committed to helping each student discover their own voice through healthy and sustainable techniques, while building confidence and joy in their singing. His studio is an inclusive and respectful space where everyone is free to be themselves. He proudly creates a safe learning environment for LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and disabled communities.
For Danny, teaching is about more than just technique. It is about helping students achieve goals they may never have thought possible, celebrating every step of their journey, and ensuring they carry the joy of singing with them throughout their lives.
