Erika
Erika is a passionate and thoughtful piano teacher who brings warmth, curiosity and a genuine love for music to every lesson. With a background in classical and contemporary piano, she offers students a balanced and expressive approach to learning that’s grounded in both solid technique and creativity.
Alongside her university studies in biomedical science, Erika continues to develop her musical skills and knowledge. Her teaching style is shaped by her experience supporting students in other academic areas, as well as her own journey through music, making her especially empathetic and encouraging in her approach.
Erika draws inspiration from the romantic elegance of Debussy, the cinematic worlds of Joe Hisaishi, and the emotive playing of Tony Ann. She enjoys helping students explore a variety of styles, particularly where classical tradition meets modern expression.
In her lessons, Erika focuses on building confidence, developing musical sensitivity, and creating an enjoyable, supportive environment for learning. She believes that music should be both a skill and a source of joy, and she’s committed to helping each student find their own unique connection to the piano.
