Jackson is a dedicated and skilled drum coach at Sono, where he has been inspiring drummers since 2018. With a Bachelor of Music and over a decade of training under renowned solo drummer Grant Collins, Jackson has honed a distinctive style emphasising rhythmic innovation and technical mastery. He is confident in teaching a wide range of styles, including pop/rock, funk, metal, R&B/soul, and blues, as well as advanced techniques like double bass drumming, Moeller technique, polyrhythms, metric modulation, four-way independence, and Afro-Cuban and Latin rhythms.

Active as a performer, Jackson is a member of several bands, including Brimstone (metal), Inovo (alternative progressive rock), Sanity The Band, and Groove Street Band (covers). He also regularly takes on session work, showcasing his versatility and professionalism. Over the years, he has supported notable American and European bands, including Suffocation, Revocation, Metal Church, The Night Flight Orchestra, and Chon.

Jackson’s influences remain rooted in iconic drummers like Steve Judd, Benny Greb, Danny Carey, Troy Wright, and Arnaud Verrier, whose creativity, precision, and innovation inspire his teaching and personal practice.

Drumming remains central to Jackson’s own life, and teaching allows him to continuously strengthen his foundations while exploring new techniques and ideas. By reinforcing fundamental skills and nurturing a space for creativity, Jackson remains inspired in his own practice. He is committed to being more than just a teacher; he’s a mentor who helps others cultivate not only their drumming abilities but also their passion and appreciation for the art of music.
