Max M. is a passionate and dedicated drum coach at Sono Music, driven by a desire to share his love of drumming with others. Holding a Bachelor of Music and currently pursuing a postgraduate Master of Music, Max brings both academic knowledge and practical experience to his teaching. He specialises in a variety of genres, including Pop/Rock, Funk, R&B/Soul, Blues, and Jazz, ensuring students can explore their musical interests.

Max’s teaching philosophy centres on helping students achieve their individual goals, whether that’s mastering technical skills, learning their favourite songs, or simply having fun playing the drums. He draws inspiration from artists like Mutemath, Twenty One Pilots, and Starset, incorporating diverse musical styles into his lessons. Max is also a skilled pianist and percussionist, further enhancing his musical versatility.

With his patient and encouraging approach, Max creates a supportive learning environment where students can thrive and develop a lifelong passion for drumming.

Max works from our Indooroopilly studio during the week, and from our Kedron-Wavell Studio on Saturdays.
