Oliver is a passionate and energetic drum coach who brings a fresh and engaging approach to every lesson. With a love for everything from the power of nu-metal and grunge to the complexity of jazz, his influences include Tool, Rush, Alice in Chains, Deftones, and Tears for Fears. These artists have shaped his dynamic and expressive drumming style.

Confident teaching across a range of styles including jazz, pop/rock, metal, funk, and R&B/soul, Oliver helps students explore a wide toolkit of techniques like Moeller technique, four-way independence, polyrhythms, metric modulation, and playing in odd time signatures. He also supports students in developing broader musical skills such as sight reading, ear training, composition, and songwriting.

As a regular live performer, Oliver brings real-world experience into lessons and encourages students to build both their confidence and creativity on the kit. His student-centred teaching approach creates a fun, supportive environment where learners of all levels can grow at their own pace.
