Zac
Zac is a passionate and emerging piano coach who brings fresh energy and creativity to his teaching. Currently completing a Bachelor of Jazz Performance (expected 2028) and holding a Diploma of Music Industry from TAFE, Zac combines academic grounding with a vibrant, modern approach to music.
He specialises in jazz, blues, pop/rock, and contemporary styles, confidently teaching up to an upper intermediate level in both jazz and contemporary piano. He also provides foundational training in classical piano. With additional skills in songwriting, composition, ear training, sight reading, and digital production, Zac offers a holistic learning experience that supports both technical growth and creative exploration.
Zac’s musical influences span from jazz legends like Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson, and McCoy Tyner to boundary-pushing rock artists including Steely Dan, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, and Pink Floyd. These diverse inspirations inform his dynamic and adaptable teaching style.
He has performed at major regional events such as the Savannah in the Round Music Festival and the Cairns Festival. As a coach, Zac is driven by a desire to help students unlock their own musical voice while building confidence and a strong foundation in musicianship.
