Join the Sono Music Team as a Vocal Coach!

Are you passionate about music and dedicated to helping others find their voice? Sono Music is looking for an inspiring and skilled Vocal Coach to join our dynamic team! At Sono Music, we are committed to nurturing talent in a supportive and professional environment.
As a Vocal Coach at Sono Music, you will play a crucial role in guiding students of all ages and skill levels on their musical journey. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help our students gain confidence, refine their technique, and achieve their vocal goals. We are seeking someone who not only has a strong background in vocal performance and pedagogy but also possesses a warm, encouraging demeanor that fosters a positive learning atmosphere.
This role is to replace an outgoing team member who works 4 days a week, but we can certainly increase the roster for applicants seeking to work more. The departing coach works at Springfield weekdays, and Indooroopilly on Saturdays. Ideally we seek to cover these shifts for the benefit of existing clients, but there's always some room for roster changes where needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one vocal lessons tailored to the individual needs of each student.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to enhance students' vocal abilities.
- Prepare students for performances, auditions, and examinations.
- Conduct occasional workshops and attend our performance events.
- Attend and contribute to professional development and training sessions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of vocal techniques and industry trends.
- Collaborate with other instructors to create a cohesive and comprehensive music education experience.
Preferred qualifications/experience/attributes
- A degree in Vocal Performance.
- Proven experience as a vocal coach or singing instructor.
- Strong understanding of vocal techniques and pedagogy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for teaching and helping others grow.
- Willingness to work Mon-Thurs; and on weekends.
- A high level of personal integrity and commitment.

Your compensation will be competitive. It is important that you are well compensated and that this job moves you in the direction that you want your life and career to be going. We don’t engage in unlawful “sham contracting” like some music schools. You will be employed under the correct Award, paid your superannuation entitlements, and enjoy an extremely consistent income and appointment book.
