Hosted by Josh
Recorded music is one of the most important tools available for developing skills and musicianship on the drum set. Playing along to recorded music can be almost like playing in a band – you get to practice not only applying all the technical skills you learn, but learning when to apply them.
Sometimes it can seem difficult – especially when you haven’t already learnt the song. In this workshop, we will make things simpler by breaking down all the ways we can use recorded music in the practice room.
We will cover topics such as listening, song structure, counting, charts, cheat sheets, drumless tracks, improvising and transcribing!
