Learning Songs Quickly

Imagine you’re doing a performance, and the song gets changed at short notice! You haven’t got time to learn the song! Or do you…?

Learning new songs can be a long and difficult process, especially when there are a lot of intricate parts involved. When it comes to getting these parts, there is often no substitute for putting in the time required. But in this scenario, we have to focus on ways to “get through” the song rather than perfect it.

There are ways of approaching the process of learning a song that can have you being able to jam along with that song in a way that sounds good long before you have perfected all the individual parts. In this workshop, we will explore many different approaches which can help speed up the process of learning a song.

Although this is primarily a drumming workshop, the ideas in this workshop can be applied to other instruments. Appropriate for all skill levels.

Workshop Cancellation Policy

As our workshops often book out and people are turned away, we maintain the following workshop cancellation policy:

For a booking to be cancelled we must receive notice by 5 pm Thursday the week of the workshop. 

Where a makeup lesson was used to book, it will be reissued.

Where a fee is paid to book, it will be refunded.
