Madelyn joined the Sono family in September 2016, and is currently undertaking a Masters of Music in Vocal Pedagogy at Griffith University QLD Conservatorium of Music.

Who are some of your major influences?

I have always loved all types of music. When commencing my undergraduate degree in 2013, I became more involved with jazz and really began to appreciate its complexity and diversity. I’m also heavily influenced by Pop Music as well. Some of my favourite artists include: Ella Fitzgerald, Gregory Porter, Adele and Whitney Houston.

What do you love most about your role at Sono?

It’s just so rewarding. It is exciting to see clients progress over the time they spend with us and coming to work each day is never boring!

What is your main aim when working with clients?

I aim to construct a program for them that is fun and engaging.  Our lessons are delivered in a relaxed and professional environment which promotes consistent progress and growth.   My programs are deliberately tailored to suit the needs of each individual.

Why have you committed to a career in music coaching?

I have always wanted to do this.  For me it was an easy decision.  I’ve committed to this career because I am passionate about music, and through my own music education, I have developed a large range of knowledge and skills in the area of singing particularly. I find it to be very satisfying to help people reach their musical goals.  I wanted to do it with Sono.  It’s just such a professional environment and I’m so happy to have found a home here.  The team is awesome – we are all committed to the same cause and the opportunities for professional development here you just can’t get anywhere else.
